The Wonderful Thing About Literature Circles and Wikis

While doing some research for another class on literature circles I was amazed at the number of articles I found that linked it with technology.  One article referenced this website called WandaWiki.  It features the work students did while studying and talking about their selected novel in the classroom and invites others to join in the discussion. Some of the pages are private, but once the group is finished they do make  their wiki  public.  It was neat to see how a teacher is combining  technology with literature.

    This teacher (above) talks about using Profile Publisher, sort of an online social networking site students use to create profiles for fictional characters from books they read. Then the ‘characters’ can interact with each other online.
